Enlivant Employee Wins Argentum Hero Award 3rd Consecutive Year
“It was no surprise to anyone who knows Patricia that she would be awarded an Argentum Hero Award,” said Enlivant Chief Executive Officer Jack R. Callison, Jr. “The tremendous love she has for all of the residents makes her an extremely compassionate and caring worker.”
Patricia joined the Preston Place team in 2014 after moving in-laws into the community and loving it so much. Her genuineness, compassion, and strong worth ethic can make any resident feel comfortable, safe and secure. She is known to her coworkers as ‘mama’ because she cares about them as much as she does for the residents at Preston Place.
“The 2017 Argentum Heroes showcase the caring and committed service provided every day by professionals in senior living communities,” Argentum President & CEO James Balda said. “Because of the excellent support and caring spirit exhibited by individuals like Patricia, more seniors are able to experience life to the fullest.”
Gatewood and her fellow Heroes were honored May 3, 2017 at the Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference in Nashville, TN.
“This award is a big honor. I never thought anything like this would happen to me,” said Gatewood. “Being there for my residents, listening to them, and having one-on-one time with the people I take care of brings me great joy.”
Enlivant will honor and celebrate Gatewood’s achievements by hosting a celebration on May 18, 2016 at Preston Place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The mayor of Sherman, Texas, David Plyler, plans to present a Mayoral Proclamation in Gatewood’s honor.
