Enlivant Employee Wins Hero Award
CHICAGO, May 11, 2016 – Enlivant, a national senior living provider, is pleased to announce that long-time employee Kathy Weaver was honored by Argentum, formerly the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA), with its 2016 Hero Award. The Hero Award honors outstanding senior living staff members across the nation. Chosen from tens of thousands of senior living community professionals, Weaver is one of just five Heroes recognized by Argentum for exceptional excellence, caring and dedication to serving seniors. This is the second consecutive year Enlivant has had an employee recognized with this prestigious national honor.
“It’s very easy to understand why Argentum selected Kathy as one of only five national award winners”, said Enlivant Chief Executive Officer Jack R. Callison, Jr. “Kathy is truly an extraordinary human being who exemplifies what servant leadership is all about. She derives immense personal satisfaction from simply caring for others and treats each resident as an extension of her own immediate family.”
During her 17 years at Oakley Place in Greenville, OH, Weaver has performed every position over her tenure, has a perfect attendance record and approaches her work with pride, empathy and passion each and every day. Through her work as a Resident Care Partner, Weaver is known as a champion and role model to new staff, residents and their families. Weaver embodies Enlivant’s core values of compassion, humility, integrity, excellence and fun not only at Oakley Place, but also in her local community. Weaver is also an active volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association of Darke County and the Alzheimer’s Walk for Awareness.
“The 2016 Argentum Heroes bring to the forefront the exceptional service provided every day in senior living communities across the country,” said Argentum President & CEO James Balda. “Because of the care and dedication exhibited by individuals like the 2016 Heroes, more seniors are living their best lives.”
Weaver and her fellow Heroes will be honored May 10, 2016 at the Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference in Denver, CO.
“It is such a blessing to be recognized for what I do,” said Weaver. “When I started working with the elderly, I felt it was something I was led to do. It’s a great fulfillment to me.”
Enlivant will honor and celebrate Weaver’s achievements by hosting a celebration on June 8, 2016 at Oakley Place from 12:00-2:00 p.m.
